Returns Specialist - $14.50/hour

We have an immediate need for a Returns Specialist to join our team!
Briefly describe the position responsibilities:
The returns specialist is responsible for receiving, logging and adjusting inventory on inbound returns. Along with the returns process, he/she will also be responsible for investigating and adjusting damaged product encountered in the various inventories. This job requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in warehouse operations and proficient computer skills. The position will follow guidelines as provided by the Receiving Supervisor and will initiate activities within the areas of responsibility to accomplish daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals. Performs functions requiring independent decision-making with accurate results.

Warehouse Duties include (40% of the time)
Using a hand jack to maneuver pallets of returns to the returns area
Organizing and gathering information pertaining to the received returns
Using a hand jack, cart and/or stock picker to put away returns back into their respective inventory
Making proper use of Cubiscan equipment to assist in the receiving and data entry of (non-return) new items as they are unloaded from inbound trailers/containers.
Occasionally filling in for the Receiving Clerk, which would include receiving, tagging, and logging of information related to the unloading and processing of new merchandise as it arrives.
Occasionally train and work as an order filler within the order filling areas as workload dictates. These duties would include the use of RF scanners, and would require constant walking and lifting of packaged items and boxes ranging from 1-35 lbs.
Other duties as assigned
Administrative Duties include (60% of the time)
Receive and process inbound returns
Communicate verbally and in writing with supervisors, colleagues, and other internal DEMDACO departments as it relates to the returns process
Research and communicate inventory issues as it may relate to the returns process
Gather damaged product from various inventories, log and decrement inventory appropriately
Use Telnet, radio frequency guns and Oracle WMS data base throughout the day for various returns processes
Work independently, making decisions within area of responsibility with limited direction from Supervisor

Experience and Skills
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers and decimals. Understands and interprets numerical relationships.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job an individual must very comfortable with working with computers and have strong computer skills. Capable of typing 35 WPM and possess 10-key skills. Be skilled with spreadsheet and word processing applications. Microsoft Access experience is preferred.
Work Environment:
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to forklifts and motorized conveyers. 100% of the employee's work will be performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse. The employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; lift; reach with hands and arms. The employee is also required to walk; sit; stoop; kneel or crouch; talk or hear.
The employee must periodically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
