Position
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will help to maintain all equipment on site.
This person will work under direction of the Maintenance Manager to ensure timelines are met and guidelines are followed.
Work alongside production team members to maintain continuous operations, while producing the highest quality products.
Assemble equipment as it comes in, maintain it through preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
Completion of any scheduled or unscheduled task / work orders.
Duties and Job
Responsibilities:
Perform minor and major maintenance duties as needed in supporting production machineryDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as necessarySupervise work of outside contractorsConduct emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipmentPerform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment on a scheduled basisExperience working on baggers or bagging equipment.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasManage tools in the facility and ensure they are kept and returned to the right placeClear understanding of OSHA requirements and food industry GMP'sBe a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and managementAttend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussionFollow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbookConduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Dot's PretzelsProactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill setMaintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer servicePerform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner Position
Qualifications:
Experience in electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair requiredGood skill in the use of hand and power toolsAbility to read and comprehend instruction manuals and blueprintsPreferred experience in a face paced food manufacturing environmentPreference given to candidates with a 2-year associate degree in electromechanical systemsRobotics and control experience a plusExceptional communication skills, verbal and writtenAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environmentCandidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.
