Product Implementation Analyst II

PURPOSEThe Information Systems (IS) Department empowers Allied through technology.
An integral part of IS, the product implementation area is responsible for the configuration and continuing support of client product information in Allied's various business systems.
Product Implementation Analysts serve the department primarily through the creation and maintenance of products within the claims system and the answering of questions over products, plan schedules, and related topics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS20%Claims System Configuration:
Creating and maintaining claim edits, claim reviews, claim validations, and related information.
20%Product Configuration:
Creating and maintaining products, plan schedules, benefits, and related information.
20%Tier 2 Product Support:
Troubleshooting escalated product configuration issues with IS, Product Management, and Claims staff along with other internal or external business users, answering escalated questions, offering instruction, and handling one-off requests.
10%Analysis:
Working with business subject matter experts to find out how a new or existing system-supported process should function.
10%Compliance:
Reviewing proposed and enacted certificate and policy language along with plan schedule of benefit details, including benefits, limits, and exclusions.
Working with Compliance, IS, and Product Management staff to create and maintain detailed product and plan documentation.
10%Documenting:
Creating and maintaining systems documentation, including troubleshooting guides, process guides, user information, and technical documents.
10%QA/Software Testing:
Working with analysts and developers to create and perform link and unit testing on new programs.
Product Implementation Analyst I Requirements:
o A minimum of 3 years professional development experience as a member of a team.
o A minimum of 3 years of combined professional experience either implementing a production health benefit claim system or processing claim charges as a claims analyst.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond to or present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences, including those with little to no technical background (e.
g.
, Executives, End-Users, IS Architects, Programmers, etc.
) Ability to speak English fluently.
Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and give written and verbal English instructions.
Ability to listen and question employees to determine level of understanding and/or define problems.
Ability to express self clearly in a courteous, confident, and consistent manner.
o High school graduate or equivalent.
o Must be a self-starter that can perform work without supervisor direction.
o Demonstrated decision making, problem solving and analytical abilities.
o Ability to compose proper business correspondence (i.
e.
, letters, memos and file documentation).
o Ability to perform basic math skills.
o Ability to operate a calculator and proficiency in using a personal computer (i.
e.
, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, reports, etc.
) o Ability to meet company attendance requirements and work extended hours as needed.
o Ability to work under and handle stress associated with varying workloads and deadlines.
o Must meet department quality and production standards.
o Ability to sit/stand at workstation for extended periods.
o US Citizenship or permanent VISA to work in the United States.
In addition to the requirements of Product Implementation Analyst l, one needs:
A minimum of 7 years professional development experience as a member of a team.
A minimum of 3 years professional experience implementing a production health benefit claim system.
Flexibility to juggle multiple projects and prioritize work to meet evolving deadlines.
